Is anyone aware of an outfitter in the Ely area that rents the Souris River Tranquility? Piragis had dropped it from their fleet for 2013. I know several outfitters have the Quetico 16, but I'm really hoping to find a Tranquility for a trip from Mudroe to Beartrap next July.

When I searched in 2011 (edited), I found no one in the US that rented Tranquilities. I ended up going to Atikokan. I just posted the links but Canoe Canada and Canoe Quetico had Tranqs then. Call Wayne at the SR factory and ask. A good guy.

I wonder why Piragis dropped it. I used theirs this year and thought it was a pretty decent boat.

Good News. I received an email yesterday from Piragis. They have put the Tranquility back on their fleet for 2013.
