Outfitters and guides provide an invaluable service for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, Quetico, and Woodland Caribou regions.
Outfitters are full service and provide trip assistance
from simple gear rental to fully guided and equiped trips. Professional guides are focused on fully guided trips for groups
who want a guide with them to help maximize the experience or to get them on the fish.
There are many outfitters around the BWCA and Quetico to help you with the necessary permits, planning, and gear rental needs. Boundary Water Canoe Area outfitters also often sell last minute essentials such as live bait, food, maps, and fishing lures. Bunkhouses can also be rented from many outfitters and provide for a reasonable place to stay the night before or after your BWCA or Quetico trip. And lastly, don't forget the hot shower you may need before a long car trip home. Outfitters also provide valuable assistance in planning a Boundary Waters trip which meets your interests, abilities, and time frames. The outfitter you choose to go with will depend on your entry point and exit point from the Boundary Waters.
