My poor kevlar Northwoods has really taken a beating on the Canadian Shield the last 8 years. Has anyone put grunch pads on their kevlar boats? How much weight does it add? Any unique issues to putting them on kevlar as opposed to royalex? Thanks.....

Yep...this is exactly what I needed skid pads,...great info here...Thanks Ken.

Grunch pads are what we called 'em back in my whitewater days...lol

The guys at North West Canoe in St. Paul put them on my black gold, Northwind. Did a nice job too!
