Day 2 starts @ 0430 building a cooking fire and tearing down camp as I want to be on the water and rolling by 6:30.

Bell- Maligne River -Fall Chain just East of Kenny lake intersection was my goal for the day.

The area starting at Fran-Slate was really cool with the creek type paddling then the portage thru the campsite into Saganagons was neat and thankfully it was not occupied either.

I was blessed with a slight South wind which was building on Saganagons as it propelled me North at a good clip.

Heading into the Fall chain up Maligne was uneventful and quite plain as a matter of fact. Getting closer to Four Falls I could hear the falls roaring but could not see the portage which I knew was on the left so I pulled off into a cove and tied up the canoe to take a walk to get a visual on it which I did.

Pulling up to Bald Rock falls and looking at both falls I found that view to be breath taking, utterly spectacular.

I rolled past my initial night 2 campsite at the 6 hour mark so onward for two more hours with the end goal being the site on the island on McEwen as I wanted to start the McEwen Chain first thing in the morning for possible moose encounters as I traveled South.
