Nice landing and an open airy small peninsula site with
mature red pines dominating the sky line. There are a
jumble of boulders strewn about the camp which doesn't bode
well for finding a good tent pad but, makes for a unique
fire grate setup. As mentioned, the site is clearly visible
from the portage. So you can check availability before
committing to the portage. Seen no one else on the lake
during our entire stay.

Camp Notes:
This is a nice campsite and very much out of the way (which I love). I visited at the end of the season, so wood was hard to come by. But I found it. You have a very clear view of the portage entry several hundred yards away, so you can see visitors well in advance (for those who like sunbathing). Be aware that the latrine can be seen from a rock shelf that sits above it. So there is not much privacy if you are with multiple campers. Great hammock trees (see pic). Nice to have the entire lake to yourself.

Camp Notes:
Took the portage from Slim to Keneu... I wish we had stayed at this site instead of the northern most site on Slim. It was a tough portage from Slim to Keneu, but was well worth it. Shaded site, and the whole lake is yours. Great northern fishing right off the site.
