is there a legal seagull entry on the north end of the lake.
i have started a trip at seagull outfitters before, but wanted a new entry area.
i know there is an entry, south of seagull outfitters.

Yep, it's the same entry point (54). It's a much more scenic paddle than the south side of 3 mile island. There is a little chute to paddle up but that is no big deal.

Sometimes paddling up that chute isn't so easy, but there is a shorty portage east of it.

I agree that paddling the north side of seagull is far more scenic than the south side.

ok....I know where the launch is on the backside of the campground, but I assume you still have to take the short walk and park your vehicle in the big lot down by Trails End Cafe....is this correct?

I've paddled up that chute no less than 50 times and I am by no means a good paddler. Just stay behind that big rock on the east side as long as possible and then take advantage of the eddy.

If you are heading north - is it better to take the Sag #55 entry?

Almost a yearly regular at Trails End campground. A few minutes walk between EP54 and the large parking lot by the outfitter. Sandy launch area. Several camps with direct access.
Last June spent some time watching canoes and kayaks pass out into the main lake, more than a few dumped! I did also, first time going thru. Entering the bay is fun!

that chute in early may, it can be more difficult than what it looks(to paddle). the 1st time i paddled through there i was like this will be simple, we had to dig abit more than i expected.

Look at the rapids flowing north to Gull, shows how much water is flowing into the EP bay! Kind of deceptive.
