I've made them in a jello mold oven. Worked fine.

Jello mold oven has provided us with many treats and special meals, thanks to dogwoodgirl's help and information.

greenydd, use search mechanism on this site. Put in jello mold oven and try the years 2007 and 2008. That should provide the info you may want.

Can someone give me a brand name mix that just requires adding water, mix, bake?

cowdoc,
We have used some Bette Crocker brownie mixes with just water that were very good.

Not over a fire but over my Dragonfly stove with the outback oven attachment . They both pack small and are light.

We use a bakepacker. Just testing the recipe for the small ultralight one this evening. 1.5 cups of Krusteaz Lowfat brownie mix, just add water, added about 1/4 cup, plus a 1/4 of cut up strawberries. A little moist. Probably be just perfect with dried berries in the BW. We always throw in some sort of dried berries to keep the variety going. Plenty of food for 4 which is what we will have on this trip. Last year with 9 people, we used the large bakepacker and 3 cups of mix and a half cup of water or whatever our nephew eyeballed.
