Thinking about taking a winter trip up Little Indian Sioux to Upper Pauness into Lower Pauness and then Shell with a day trip to Devil's Cascade. I found a video from BWCA Cast from 2009 and a trip report from Uncle Moose from 2011. Any idea on current ice/snow conditions in that area? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, CC
Not sure which conditions you are asking about but water levels are usually down in the fall so the 'Cascade' isn't quite as impressive then. Consider doing a day hike to the cascade from Shell. There are several places to access the trail.
