I haven't heard much about Lake One as a winter entry point. Seems the entry access is plowed and would be a good place to start a trip. Is it just not talked/written about or is it not used much. If not used, what would be the reasons?
My group has done Lake One before as well. Coming through the rocky narrow sections right before you enter the main part of the lake is a good way to start/end a trip.
It was pretty "busy" with people doing daytrips. But I don't think that is the worst thing in the world. And by busy I think we saw 4 other groups.
