I don't know guys...I took your advice, spent some money, and they arrived today. Seems like these might take up quite a bit of space in the pack! :)

Hammock Gear underquilts? When worried about space I use compression sacks.

Yeah, incubator 20 deg underquilt, and burrow 20 deg top quilt. Nice storage bags they came in, when in their stuff sacks they are about the size of a rugby ball. Just joking about pack space.

I get my hammock, tarp, 2 full-length 20 degree quilts, and camp pillow in a size large E-Vent compression drybag down to less than the size of my compressed 0 degree sleeping bag.

That is good to know, I was considering a single drybag for my hammock system. Are the quilts in a stuff sack, then in the compression drybag? Or do they just go in the drybag? What about your suspension and tree straps? Packed separately?

Quilts are loose. Hammock (w/ suspension and straps) and tarp are in their own stuff sacks, then into the compression bag. Tarp will go between pack and liner if it's at all wet/damp though.

Pack the suspension separate as it might be wet.

separate as in addition to wet they might have tree sap, etc. A small waterproof bag works great and can then be put in with the rest of the hammock gear. I usually put it in last.

I also use an event system and start with hammock and quilt, compress a bit. Add the tarp in its own waterproof sack and then tree straps also in their own sack. Stakes and extra line are in a separate pack. Unpacking in the reverse allows setting up tarp and straps then hammock/quilt come out having tied one end to straps and resulting in nothing touching the ground.
It is wonderful how great gear works together to help it all come together. Congrats to your upgrade.
