Which model are you thinking of purchasing?

Dutch always makes top quality gear and stands behind his work if there is a problem.

Regarding the Half-wit, it seems like a great weight saving idea. However, a number of users have commented on problems when you accidentally kick your legs out from under the top quilt while sleeping. They simply cut the netting off and go to a Fronkey style net for complete coverage.

i got the 11' hexon 1.6, reg. width. absolutely love it. last night i read the bwj with a cold beer for 2 hours hanging away.
i did order the fronkey full bug net, should be here tomorrow.
I've got to say, as others have, an integrated bug net does affect the way a hammock performs.
i took my zipper off my wbxlc last night, and it was comfortable.
it is after all a traveler gathered end without the bug net.
the dutch hammock will be my go to. it is just that good and comfy.
with all my other dutchware, i am a happy hanger.
oh, with the hal-wit, if it's hot, and you do not need insulation on your legs, you are bug meat. you need a full bugnet.

I do not recall hearing any complaints about the hammocks. I do recall times when some people had problems with some of his titanium hardware pieces. Dutch replaced them rapidly with no questions asked.

I spent some time kayaking with Dutch at HammockCon III. He seemed to be a real decent type of person.

i received my fronkey bug net yesterday, it is awesome, decided against a diy, 30$ for netting, 10$ for mis. items, time, i can't sew, money well spent for me and it supported a fellow hanger.

Ordered my custom 11' Dutch hammock on 8/16. It shipped with all my accessories the morning of 8/18. That's an amazing turn around considering you select the fabric choices when ordering and they custom make each one!

This will be my 1st camping hammock and I can't wait until it arrives so I can begin checking out my setup before our next BWCA trip a month from now.

I ordered a Fronkey net for it.

I already have a Noah 12 tarp, so will start using it until I decide to do something else as it's plenty big and may affect tree / hang choices. But for now, many have used this tarp hammock camping for years.

I am starting w/ no underquilt for now (unless I get one before the trip). I ordered a double layer hammock from Dutch 1.6 hexD outter, 1.1 hexD inner. I have a Big Agnes bag w/ integrated pad sleeve in the bottom, I'll see how that works out for now. I also have an oder, thin (1/2") thermarest that I may experiment with between the hammock layers.

.. and of course I orded a small assortment of Dutch bling to see what I like..

Hang on!

I've made hammocks with their hexon material and like it a lot.
Their titanium flyz for tarps have been super too.
Great customer service from a cottage vendor who really likes what he does.
They will answer any questions about their stuff on hammockforums.
