Got my whoopie slings and tree hugers and was able to do a little pre trip nap! For a big guy this is very nice, wasn't sure if i would feel comfortable, but I loved it.

One question. I am using the marlin spike hitch with toggle. the whoopie sling came with a bead. Does anyone know what this is used for? Wasn't sure if it needed to be placed in position on knot ...

I haven't used whoopies so I might not be the best to answer, but I think the bead is for the adjustable loop: so you can't accidentally pull it all the way closed. I think you'd have to re-splice the sling to get it on there, though.

It is definately not part of the marlin spike hitch, though.

The bead stops the "whoopie" from pulling though it's self.

Yep, the bead is just a stop.

Nothin like that sinking feeling when you pull a little too far and your loop disappears... :(
