Proof is in the pudding, how did it sleep? Finding the right angle for my comfort and keeping the sag from creating a pocket knife being folded up effect was my first goal. Staying warm was the second and recently I have been working on reducing the pinch the sides of the hammock put on my shoulders. Oh, and having places to put my headlamp, bed side stuff.
So...how was the angle, flat enough or ?
how was the temperature?
did you feel pinched or restricted in movement?

and most important, how did you handle the need to pee in the middle of the night?

Good to have another hanger join the group.

First off and most important. When I had to pee I went.
I am not used to sleeping on my back had a little bit of trouble there.
My tarp I think still has to be a little bit higher.
Temp got down into the low 40s but I was nice and warm.

I kept my head lamp and a bottle of water close.
I think the angle was fine I was really comfortable.

I haven't ever had a problem sleeping on my side in my hammock

Ok I might have to readjust then. I thought it was hung up pretty good.

The tarp height is always too low at first. You'll work your way up to your correct level.
I swapped out my diamond tarp for square and then moved on to a big a** tarp with doors. Now I hang it high enough to stand under.

That looks like an ENO hammock which is designed for lounging, not camping. If that's the case you might have a difficult time getting a comfortable nights sleep as it's not an asymmetrically cut hammock that would allow you to sleep flat. You shall always sleep shaped like a banana.

I use an Eno and I don't sleep like a banana. I do not lie directly under the ridgeline. I bisect the ridgeline at about 20*-25* to get a fairly flat posture.

Two weeks from now I shall be slumbering in my hammock somewhere north of the Echo Trail.

First off. It is not a ENO hammock just the under quilt is the Hammock is a nature hike designed for sleeping and the second thing is I have bad knees. And it is hard for me to get a good nights sleep in a regular bed. I have surgery scheduled for sometime in August after my trip and a couple other things that are going on this summer.

Same here. Best night's sleep I've ever had in the woods.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it doesn't look like you're using a structural ridgeline with the hammock. That was one of my "aha!" moments in the beginning. Once you get your lay figured out, then the ridgeline gives that same lay everytime.

Hey, Bob, If I don't see you in July, best wishes on that surgery. My sis had both knees replaced a few years back and she is so happy she did.
