after a week of tent camping and sleeping on 2 pads, being home a few days, i have the dreaded tent back pain that my chioro. will cure tonight.
we got a big agnes family tent as well. i can stand up in it, plenty of room, only place i think it got my back was reaching way down to open the rain fly in front. they should have reverse zippers to eliminate the bend.
i did miss my hammock.

Just doing a little brainstorming, but if you had your dog along, it would be a good way to keep Fido safe and secure sleeping on the tent floor, plus all your gear would stay nice and dry. No need for a tarp, just hang the hammock straps/whoopie slings through velcroed slits in the tent sides. You would lose those beautiful views of the outside though. And it would have to be a looong tent.

I realized this weekend that its been almost 5 years since I slept in a tent. Seems like just yesterday I had that cramp where the root ran under....

I saw a DIY project where a guy had taken an old tent and put what looked like stove jacks in both ends. He ran his suspension through the jacks. It was a canvas tent which he also had a stove in. Nice winter hang place.
