Be on the lookout. If it's too good a deal to be true, it could be hot.

Saw that. I wonder if there are any security cams in that parking area? Hope it's covered by insurance.

Must not be the same boat as in the picture. That one has aluminum gunnels. I have the identical boat.

We always put a lock on our canoes if we have to leave they unattended for more than a few minutes - especially for overnight. Too bad they didn't put their bike lock on the canoe and save the depressing loss.

Kind of like leaving your wallet full of money on the roof of your car and walking away. No surprise it got stolen.

When I leave my canoe on the rack, I use a bike lock to hold it to the rack, but I have to loop the lock around a seat or the carrying bar which can be sawed thru with no problem.

If someone wants to steal something, they will think of a way to do it. This theft sounds like an inside job by someone who knew the area very well.

Always my first thought when I see things like this. It never ceases to amaze me that someone thinks they have the right to take something that isn't theirs.

Good catch - seems not only locked but in parking garage.

You can put a bike lock on it but it's useless. I could use my battery hand held small grinder with a buzz wheel and have the canoe off in about 10 seconds. It will cut through a master lock in about 5 seconds. A lock only keeps the average guy out.

yeah, locks are for honest people.

Spot Trace?

Free right now. $100 year subscription and I'd think you'd need to surgically implant it in the canoe so it was not easily seen.
