I love that campsite on Fairy with the high terraced tent pads and the view of the island. Glad you got to stay there.

Hey Nate....
Your report brings back memories of a couple of previous summer trips that included all or parts of your trip.....I can only imagine the beauty of fall in the Bwca....
The closest I've gotten to canoeing the BWCA in October is a visit to Chainsaw Sisters to give my wife a taste of the beauty during a trip to Ely last year, this time of the year, while picking up my new ride at VNO..

Howdy Nathan,
My son and I went that direction the week after Memorial Day. Stayed at that campsite on Fairy for a couple of days while fishing lakes around us. Didn't do too well fishing, but who cares, we were out in God's country.
