I am beginning to plan my first solo trip. I am going in on Thursday May 18th and out May 27th. I am planning on going through Prairie Portage, before the park officially opens, then up to Agnes for a couple of days of Lake Trout fishing then on to Kawnipi for some Walleye fishing. The reason I am giving out my information is during the middle of the trip I would be interested in hooking up with others for a day or two, maybe more. I have found that many on this forum have the same attitude about the wilderness and camping. So I make this offer. If someone is interested please let me know. We can exchange emails and phone calls.
I am going to be 40 and in OK shape. I like to double portage and expect to catch fish for 5-9 meals during this trip. I love Lake Trout and Walleye, I plan to fix them many different ways. You should taste my fish bake.
I am pretty easy to get along with and enjoy trading stories of adventures. I like to relax over the fire and like to get out early to fish and travel make camp early and enjoy some R&R.
my email is eric@jensenhq.com

Good luck! I did my first solo 10 years ago. I have made a trip twice each year since then. Solo and partner. I will be up - base camping on Ensign (MN side), during the same period in May. I've traveled the Quetico side from Agnes to Sarah and all points in between - fishing is great that time of year. I am planning on doing the Hunters Island Loop in June 2007 to celebrate my 60th. Can't get enough!!
