I am thinking I may need a three person canoe this season. I am considering the MN III or the Bell Northwinds 20'.
I think I might like the Bell dimensions, but that is just a guess. Its also 5 lbs lighter. The price is essentially the same. The MN III seems to have a proven track record.
Does anyone have experience with these to compare?
Is there something that I should consider in addition to the factors mentioned above?
Can not believe nobody has chimed in for 10 days for 3ball. Having paddled both 17 and 18 foot Bell Northwind/Northwoods(now Northstar Northind)and owned or paddled Wenonah MNII , Odyssey and Sundowner 18 but NOT paddled a 20 Northshore/Northstar or MNIII.... look at the Northstar Northwind 20. The Bells were much easier to turn and generally inspired confidence more than the Wenonahs. I just liked the way they paddled more than the Wenonahs. Plus a 20 footer is much easier to get over the portage than a 23 footer. Just my seat of the pants opinion. Try both if you can before you buy. CB
