Fellow Hangers,

I am looking at purchasing an underquilt for my Hennessy Asym Explorer. Will a normal under quilt work with it. I ran across a youtube video that gave the impression that they would not fit because of the shape of the asym.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

I have a JRB Winter Nest, which is specifically made for the bottom-entry HH - it's a really nice deal, as the quilt has velcro that attaches directly to the HH entry. Very recommended, although very pricy...

just give them a call and talk with them about it.
are you looking at the side zip on the hh., I would highly recommend it. I had my hh bottom entry sewed shut and a side zipper installed. makes life easier.

I had an Arrowhead quilt on my Hennessy for some time. Then went to the down filled Nest by Jacks R Better. Much warmer and smaller to pack. Now I have an original Nest with the velcro slot in it to match my bottom entry Hennessy, and a down filled Incubator underquilt to fit to the Henessy side entrance Hammock I have. Both hammocks are the Explorer Deluxe size.

I would spend the extra money and go with the down. I have had Nest, Incubator and Arrowhead quilts. All good quilts. The Nest pack down smaller and seem to fit better.
