I have an older ¾ length KAQ that I use on my BBWB. It has served me well. One time I was in a bad storm that repositioned my tarp so rain ran down by hammock and into my UQ. The next morning my UQ hung under my hammock like a full diaper. I poured the water off gave the UQ a shake and it was dry. No moisture had penetrated the outer layer of the UQ. Although for summer use a ¾ length is adequate more care must be taken to properly position and ensure there are not gaps for breeze to go between the UQ and the hammock
The question of the day is Freedom or Socialism??

I have this underquilt, but it is not on a Blackbird. It is on my ENO. I think it would work just fine on a blackbird. I had extra insultex sewn in mine, good down to 20 deg. It is very well made and you won't be disappointed if you buy one. You just slide your hand between the hammock and the quilt and it feels warm. Mine goes on a ENO hammock.
