I tried to get into White Feather Lake last weekend. On the map, it looks like a short paddle through a creek into the lake. That may be true when the water levels are up, but as of last weekend it will require some good effort to get all the way into the part of the lake where there is open water.
From where I made it too though, it did appear to me that there is a possible campsite on the left of the marsh as you get closer to the "lake" part of the lake. Unless the water went up, you will have to bushwhack along the edge of the marsh to get there. I was in a solo canoe with just day gear and the water over the mud was too shallow to float.
I posted a couple videos on YouTube.com and you will see the conditions as of last weekend. Just search "White Feather Lake".

There is an old campsite on the north shore of the lake that gets used when the lake can be accessed. Best time to go is in the spring shortly after ice out when water levels are usually higher.
I have never stayed there, but from the water it looks like you could find room for a couple of tents. There was no fire grate or latrine seen and it is part of the PMA so you will need the PMA designation added to your permit by the USFS office if you intend to camp there overnight. That is probably your best bet for a place to camp on the lake.
