I'm just a wannabe hanger. What are we looking at?

That's the whoopie sling cord (grey) and my hammock body (green). I was reading at the end of the night when my hammock ripped right through at one of the ends. Obviously beyond repair

That's a bummer, could you tie it off again and use it or were you a ground dweller?

Looks like a gathered end hammock, couldn't you just have gather the end and, whip a length of cord and attach the whoopie sling to that new loop?

I'm not judging, just curious.

A Dream Hammock Dangerbird. Yes, it's a gathered end, but I have never made one myself, so some backcountry surgery on it is outside of my skill level. Plus we were about a good 5+ hour canoe ride from the EP 6 so I just called it and said let's get out.

Side note: very little bugs.

That is very disappointing.

Did you order the hammock with the whoopie slings or did you put them on your self?

A Dream Hammock Dangerbird."

Which fabric? Single or double layer? Your weight? I've been waffling between a DH or Warbonnet... Have you contacted DH yet?

This one came with whoopies, but I've put them on previous hammocks before.

Single. I used to have a WBBB and sold it to get a dangerbird.

From what I gather this was a fluke. I've been in contact with Randy. He's a great guy and is great with his customers
