OK, I spent last weekend in a hammock. It was my first time ever sleeping in a hammock. I gotta say, Whoopie Slings and straps are awesome! I set the entire system up in much less time than it took my buddy to set up his 2 man tent. I got them HERE.. I am sure a lot of people in this forum use these, but it was my first time.

Congratulations! I guess I'm the last person in the world who still uses the original nylon strap that came with my WBBB.

I put Whoopie Slings on my sons HH last year, this year I replaced 'em with the straps from War Bonnet. We like them much better then the Whoopie Slings.

the straps i had on my hh were shorter than the new whoopies i put on. the whoopies gave me more length options on tree set-ups.
why did you not like the whoopies? curious.i coupled the whoopies with poly straps and biners from the same distributor.

I also bought my Whoppie slings from Paul. Great order to ship time.

I coupled the Whoopies with the tree hugger straps too and the lengths were just fine. It just wasn't as clean of a setup as we were looking for.
I got the web strap suspension setup from WB, attached it to each end of the HH and now it is just one quick cinch on each tree and its done. It doesn't get much easier then that.

NOPE, I also love my WBBB straps, I have no idea why you would want to use something called a "whoopie" string.

Whoopie slings were invented by a guy named Opie on Hammockforum.com. They are baciclly a Chineese handcuff that you might have seen as a child's toy. They are made from Amsteel and 10 times stronger than other rope of the same size. The rope slips inside and makes a loop. The rope then locks one way and is free to move the other way. Quick and easy suspension adjustment.

I also prefer the original straps on my WBBB. Today I got a used WB Ridgerunner that came with whoopies and separate tree straps. I am going to test the system this weekend.
