For those of you that use a compression bag to pack your hammock, what size do you use? I have a Warbonnet Blackbird in 1.7 double layer with stock straps for suspension. I use the stock Bishop bag and place the head end straps in the bag and then use the foot end straps and wrap around the bag.
I currently use two Sea to Summit Event compression sacks of 15L size. I use one for my top quilt and under quilt, and the other for my clothes.
I’m using two CCS Rucksacks and the small Mountainsmith lumbar pack for everything when solo and just looking to gain a little more room. I clip the lumbar pack on the front straps of the gear rucksack. Can’t justify going with a larger pack when I feel that I could do a 14 day trip with what I have and does help by limiting me from extra weight.
I’m happy with the SuperFly and continuous ridge line/prussic that I’m using and may look more into making some skins for it, or making that bag into a Bishop bag.
I have looked in the past in Hammock Forums and thought that I would see what you guys are using.

I put my BB and Superfly in a small comp sack. (the Superfly goes in it's own nylon sack in case of moisture) It's a very old one so don't know the dimensions. The sea to summit small should be fine. If there's more room you can always stick something in there to fill the bag.

I have the same hammock and suspension straps as you and I use a Granite Gear XS Cordura compression bag. It has 3 compression straps and they get drawn all the way down so it is probably a little too big but it works well.

I was pondering this same question while breaking camp this week.
Both my top quilt and under-quilt are in compression sacks. With down fill, the compression sacks really help save space.
Since the WBBB 1.7 DL has no fill, is there that much to gain by packing it in a compression sack (vs. jamming it into a dry bag)?

Well that is kind of my thoughts but when I put it into the bishop bag and wrap the one end of straps around it, I can make it almost half its size. That is why I'm pondering a compression bag. If anything, I'm thinking it would be faster?

You use separate sacks for UQ and TQ? Or do you just stuff both into one? I tried putting mine into a 3L sack and compressing it. They were in their original sacks and ending up side by side but I did manage to reduce their bulk by about half.

I just put them in the stuff sacks they came with from WB. I've not had the need to compress them further - though I single portage with just the one pack so it could help a bit if I did. I may try that on my next trip. I put my TQ and UQ along with sleeping clothes in a dry bag. I may have to try an event compression sack and see. Compressing them might allow me to bring an extra bit of whiskey with me.
You say that like it's a bad thing.
