      Finally Have My Hammock Ordered

I was finally able to order my first camping hammock - a Warbonnet XLC Blackbird double 1.7. I was really debating between the Dream Hammocks Thunderbird or the XLC and chose the XLC after emailing some questions I had to Brandon. I'm going to use a CCS 10 x 12 1.9 oz tarp as a hammock fly. Now the wait....

Yes the wait is worse than a little kid on Christmas Eve. Brandon used to only ship like once a week, but it's been a couple years since I last order from him.

It will be worth the wait. Congrats on the purchase.

It takes about 3 weeks to get your hammocks. I ordered the XLC a few months ago, and I emailed Brandon to check on the status because I got worried. He emailed me back right away and said its 3 weeks shipping. But I got my hammock on the 21st day! It is my second warbonnet and I really like it!. Have fun!

Congratulations! You'll love it.

When I ordered my WBBB, it arrived ahead of expectations. But, that was several years ago. Somehow, from what I know of Brandon, his service has probably only improved, if he has any control over it.

Well it's been five weeks so far and no hammock yet. I ordered a Superfly around the 14th and have received it in ten days This waiting stuff is killing me. :)

The wait is difficult. It's worth it.

It's tough waiting. Warbonnet always seems to take longer than it should! :)

+1, I totally agree. When I ordered both my hammock and tarp, they were both seconds that he had on hand. That being said, he at that time only sent when he had enough to send out and that was 10 days before they shipped.

I have always experienced nothing but exceptionally good service when dealing with Warbonnet.

Well I got my shipping notice today. It should be delivered on Friday. That will be six weeks since the order was placed. Now it seems like the six weeks was nothing. The next two days are going to be killer.

Well my six weeks of waiting have finally paid off. The new Warbonnet Blackbird XLC Dbl 1.7 was delivered today. I gave it a quick look over as I won't be able to set it up until tomorrow and it looks sweet. The convertible cover was shipped without a stuff sack but I can pick one of those up tomorrow too. I built the Superfly mini tarp pole mod I saw on HF and I'll have plenty of room under it for me and my gear. I'm pretty fired up to try this out but camping will have to wait until the knee heals up.
