Today we had a great time paddling with friends we’ve meet on the bwca.com message boards. Merri and I wish we had more time to spend hanging out with them as they camp along the river. Here are a few pictures I took along the way.

The weather when we started didn’t look good but, as soon as we got on the water the good karma of the group halted the rain and we enjoyed a warm, not too windy, day on the river.

Great Photos! Thanks for posting. An interesting variety of boats. The Mad River that Bob is paddling looks nice.
Looks like a great bunch of people showed up and the weather was nice.

How about some names for the faces. I see a very familiar canoe in the bunch.

Here are a few more photos from today's paddling.

and of the camp

There's been a nice turnout considering the weather forecast was iffy. Wish I could have stayed for the camaraderie and good times this evening.

Thanks for the photos.

It was good to see many old friends and meet Mark & Merri, Zooshooter, and SueB2B. It was a great weekend, and contrary to the forecast,`we had very nice camping/paddling weather, so those who dumped weren't too uncomfortable. ;-) The Kishwaukee was running very fast and there were many nasty strainers and debris piles from the recent flooding.

Thanks again Bob for setting this up.

Did the campground provide a chain hoist to feed that fire pit?

I had a fantastic time at my first Wing Night. It was great to meet everyone and put some faces to names that I've been chatting with in the chat room.

I agree with nojobro about the pictures. I'm glad someone got them and was able to share them. Mine are sitting at the bottom of the river with my phone so it's nice to have some that others took.

First off I'd like to thank everyone for treating Terri and I like family or maybe even better. First wing weekend for both of us and it was just like I thought it would be, great people and a fantastic weekend. We hated to leave. Anyways here's some more pics.
