I purchased this hammock last year and like it a lot. It was super comfortable and I am happy about the purchase. However I was cold a few nights on a summer trip in the BWCA. So I'm looking at purchasing an underquilt for Spring/Summer/Fall camping. I've searched a little bit on the site but haven't found the right information I need. Does an underquilt even work on a bottom entry hammock? I'm new to hammock camping... Does anyone know of some good threads OR recommendations on and underquilt. I've been looking at Kick Ass Quilts but they are SPENDY! Thanks

You could check out Jacks R Better, just google them. They carry a quilt designed for bottom entry Hennessys. Not sure on the cost but you get what you pay for when ordering from the little guys. If your not already on hammockforums.com, check that site out, you'll leave with your head spinning with all the info there. Good Luck!

UQ's work on the BE hammocks. The suspensions snap back in place on the slippery materials once you're in.

All UQ's are pricey as a fact, you just need to figure out which one best would fit your hammock and allow that side suspension line to slide back over once you hold it off to one side to get in. It shouldn't be a problem. Turn around, walk backwards, sit and slide the legs and feet in. The suspension and UQ should just follow and close up the bottom.

I have a 20* UQ that is my workhorse for most applications, vent if necessary in warm weather, enjoy it when it's cold.

Don't ignore used UQ's. I've saved a pile of dough buying used.
I have a KAQ Potomac for canoeing. It is synthetic fill rated to 40F. It worked fine when I had a Hennessy hammock bottom entry. I sold that and got a WBBB, but the KAQ works on either one.

I have a down UQ for winter rated to 15-20F with a couple oz overfill.
