Lost my 20 year service gift from work of a leatherman, after using it to take hooks out of a 27 inch lake trout that I released, than I promptly laid my leatherman down accidentally to its resting spot in 42 feet of water in Quetico on my birthday Saturday.

Found: Canon camera--PowerShot A3100IS. In the water at the Alder/Canoe portage. Camera doesn't appear to be working, but there are 80+ pictures of the group of men and boys having an awesome time. I'm sure one of those young men would at least like to retrieve his pictures. Here's a couple of them to help identify:

LOST: Grey Nalgene leech bottle. Two lids, black & blue (blue drilled with holes). Left at the campsite on South Arm Knife directly next to the South Arm Knife >> Hanson portage. Tied off with yellow cord. Had to leave in a hurry after a bear came into camp.
I'd like the bottle back if found, don't need the leeches! I'll pay shipping.

Bump - just in case someone just got home.

Lost on Cherokee!!! 1 pair of Keen women's "Voyager" style hiking shoe/boot, on 7-11-13. New shoes. We were in the campsite just to the north of the portage to Sitka Lake, on Cherokee lake. My wife said if someone returns them , she makes a mean batch of granola and would compensate with it. Thanks

I left a pair of glasses at a campsite on Boulder Bay (Lac LaCroix, just north of Agnes) July 21. If you happen to be headed that way soon shoot me an email at Dave at morlockphotography dot com and I can provide more specifics on location.
I'll make it worth your while.

Leant one of my canoes to a group who went in at Mudro up to Crooked and back over Memorial Day.
I came back short one sling type portage pad. Thought I'd just check to see if anyone found it. You never know.

Thank you to all for your kind support, encouragement, and for your ideas. JJ still is not found.
The outfitters, radio stations, animal shelters and rangers' offices all have been very helpful, generous with their time, and have helped spread the word.
Please continue to keep an eye out for JJ.

The name on the inside of this item found on Isabella Lake says "Hipp". As I was reaching for it from the back of the canoe I said, "I sure hope there's not a body in here". At which point I felt my wife take the canoe very quickly in a different direction. I managed to retrieve the item anyway. Hipp, I hope other than losing something, that you are well.

Anyone heading down the Louse River? LOST on TRAIL LAKE campsite 7/14/2013: my trusty shovel. I guess it's not really lost - I know exactly where it is, I just left it behind. Scraped a small hole to spit toothpaste into by the bushes just behind the fire grate area on the right side of the path back to the latrine. This is the southern campsite just off the 16 rd portage heading downriver. I feel kind if silly posting this - it's not worth anything, just has sentimental value. It's been on every trip I've taken over the past few years, including my honeymoon. Also a matter of pride. In over 50 days spent in the BWCA it is the only misplaced item. You can see it hooked on the Granite Gear pack in the picture:
I thought I'd give it a shot - you never know. Thanks!

This popped up on my FB feed: hope it helps
JJ was spotted today (July 29) on the northwest side of Sawbill Lake. Would you please help get the word out? Details are here, from Sawbill Outfitters - JJ, the lost border collie was seen by a party on the far nortwest side of Sawbill Lake at Noon on Monday, July 29th. They were eating lunch at a campsite, when the dog appeared in the site. When they called to him, he ran off, headed south.
If you are paddling on Sawbill, or nearby lakes, please keep a sharp eye out for JJ.
He is extremely skittish, so should be coaxed to yummy food very gently.

I found some prescription glasses at camp 1105 (the big 5 star site on the eastern side just before the narrows leading into Horse) on Fourtown Lake. Brand is Denim. I can post a picture if anyone thinks they might be theirs. They were left on a stump.

My son has lost his SAMSUNG HMX-200 CAMCORDER it looks like a phone or a small camera, the camera itself is not important however the pictures from our trip are the most valuable. My son lost his camera on or about August 1, 2013 between the portages from Thomas Lake to Alice Lake. If anyone finds his phone's camera please contact me for its quick return.

LOST: driver's license, credit card, health insurance card, and cash. All were contained in a small plastic zip-lock. (Zipped up pocket had a bad seam. Probably fell out along a portage somewhere on the days from Kekekabic to Sema to Knife to Gabimichigami to Mesaba, and finally to Wine. Aug 9-15, more or less.)

We encountered some misfortunes between Wheelbarrow Falls and South Basswood Falls. We lost our brown pet (dog) bag, which contained some medicine, collapsible bowls and food, but more importantly: a Sony NEX-5r camera and a Pet Safe collar. Also, among the missing is a red Katadyne water bottle, three oars and a map in a waterproof bag w/ an attached compass.
We are all ok (including our dog)! but would love to reward someone for finding the camera and if by chance some other things.
Thanks for looking and we hope your trip was better than ours!

SONY NEX 5-R UPDATE: I got a call from a guy who found my brown dog bag. It was located at campsite 1545 or 1984 (above Wheelbarrow Falls). He said it looks like someone found it, went though it and took out the valuables (i.e. my camera!) and left the bag on shore. He is mailing the bag to me, but I would love it if the person who has the camera would come forward. There is no way it still works and I would love to have it back! I wish the person who has it is honest and not looking to keep it...I will reward for it.

Hoping, praying that one of the good folks on BWCA.com may be able to help.
A member of our group left a duluth pack with gear in it at the Little Gabro entry point #33 on Sunday 9/30/13 @ about 11am or 11:30am, most likely at the portage entry / vehicle loading area.
When we came out we had a flat tire on a vehicle and another with a rock in a brake dust guard making noise, so in the disruption and other groups coming out as well, we left one duluth pack at the entry.
If you can help in any way, either with being able the check the entry point or know where to go to help put notice out, please reply here or drop me an email @ the address below:

We have no problem identifying the contents of the pack if anyone's found it.
Thank You !!

Hey Everyone,
Not sure if anyone posted for this yet but I found a "hand-held" item at the only campsite on Mudro this past weekend on 10/13 when I stayed there before heading out. There were a couple of other small items there that I took out with me because they were obviously left (and were not worth keeping!) and I didn't want the animals to get into them or be attracted to the site.
Anyway, if you lost or think that you accidentally left something at that site (fits into the palm of your hand), send me an email describing it and I will be more than happy to mail it out to you!

Sorry! Meant to say it was a compass at the end of that message!

Not sure if it's lost for sure but I am missing a thwart bag(green). Last I remember having it would be on my trip on Sawbill-Alton. Been looking around for a few days now...don't see it. Anyone find one? Pete

Bob, I've tried calling you several times with no answer you said you would send the water filter to me. I gave you my name and address, is there a problem? Could Bob's friend, the one that told him about this post contact me?
