WOW what a gorgeous sunset photo with your friend soloing out there on the water... just beautiful. I would totally hang that on my wall :)

Enjoyed your trip report very much. We spent a couple nights at the signature site on Burntside. One of my favorites.

I enjoyed your solid fishing trip report. Read every word. I suspect the walleyes were in the deep holes. Late September really does rob one of the fishing time with those short days.

Your photos (the scenery ones, after the first couple I didn't click on the fish ones, LOL!) are simply stunning! Enjoyed your trip report very much. I, too, prefer June, but the past couple of times we have gone in early September and it has its good points, as well. You certainly had some beautiful weather.

thanks for the report, brings back memories of 2 solo trips and of a group trip that was my first ever to Quetico following same route, Jean is great for pretty sunsets that time of year, if walleyes are tough to find, don't forget throwing a line out from shoe after sunset,it can prove productive

Mad: Nice report; thanks for sharing. I see your comments about site FA but was wondering if you had any thoughts about any of the other sites? (For a lake with so many sites -- many probably unusable I know -- in the PCD, there are only 2 I see that are even rated.) Just wondering your thoughts on other options if FA were occupied. --Goose
Soloing is sweet, but a good partner is "priceless."
