I have the Nesco with very similar specs but round. I have to wonder a little if the corners will get as much air and heat as the center, but probably a fine machine for the occasional user. Mine is fine - but I only get it out a few times a year to do a few batches. Six trays does all the vegetables. Fewer for a meat run. And another for sauces.
This is the same one that I have and I’m happy with it. My wife works at FF and she told me the factory rep said if you are making jerky, get the this one as you can lay the strips out better. I use it with a jerky shooter and really like it. Make sure to get several of the plastic trays for making fruit leather and I use them for dehydrating everything from chili – spaghetti sauce.
I like the idea of trimming parchment paper square rather than round - and I definitely like parchment better than Nesco fruit trays for sauces and ground beef.
