After looking at both of the websites the Clark 250 is aprox $430.00 and seems to come with everything including the tarp and travel bag built in .

The 1.7 double is $175.00 Travel sleeve $85
Carabiners $10 and the superfly tarp $130.00

Total $400.00

am I missing something ???

For the extra $30.00 I would buy the Clark??

I don't think that you will need the travel sock with the Superfly unless you think that you are going to do winter camping or real bad storms. With the Superfly you can close everything in or open it up.

2QZQ has a protector vapor barrier for $35 if you think you need it.

I was in same boat & considering both, ended up buying the Clark-NX-250... can't give an honest comparison as I have never seen or tried the BB... but will someday hike with someone with one.

BTW... love the heck out of my NX-250

You could always go with the $20 GuideGear 12' tarp.

If you end up getting the Clark, or any hammock that uses rope in their suspension system, make sure you get a set of drip rings.

They are only $3.99 for a set of two and will absolutely prevent water dripping down your line and getting into your hammock.

There is a video on the Clark website that also shows how to use the drip rings as part of the suspension system to hang and make quick tension adjustments. I use these with my ENO and Clark hammocks and they work great!

My Clark came with the drip rings as standard equipment.

Of course....I was fortunate enough to purchase a used one in excellent condition and the previous owner didn't include the drip rings......perhaps he lost them or forgot to include them.

When I ordered a set for my Clark, I also ordered a set for my ENO so my son can use it instead of tenting.

I have both of these hammocks and I prefer the blackbird. I seems to be more comfortable and doesn't pich my shoulders as much plus I like the double layer to slide my sleeping pad into it doesn't slip around. I got the slaps which I like very much sets up in about 2 minutes. I use a different tarp even with the clark I use a different tarp then the one that came with it

Which model Clark do you have that pinches your shoulders? I am 6'1" and weight 240. I have the NX-250 and find it is very roomy and comfortable. I considered purchasing a new NX-150 because it was cheaper than the NX-250 but the Clark website description for the NX-150 indicated my size was at the uppermost limit. Thankfully I was able to find a used NX-250 and saved even more money.

I have the biggest one I can't remember the number it has a 400 lb limit. It's okay i just like the blackbird better and it was way cheaper, I also like the straps
