For all that I have read and the help I have gotten here, I made up some hammock clips to hang with. I have used mine several nights and they have worked good.

For the first six that send me an email with your mailing address, I'll send you a pair.

Thanks everyone.

I'll also use this thread to say thank you to everyone for their info, tips and tricks. I like talking about hammocks almost as much as sleeping in them.

Nice. Thanks.

What material are they made out of? Just curious.

3/16 aluminum. Cut them out on a wire EDM and put them in a deburring tumbler to round out the sharp corners.

Email sent. I've needed to build a dedicated suspension for my traveling hammock (ENO doublenest)

What a great gesture!

Those look great Kevin, Thank You for making those and offering them up! I've switched my suspensions over to Amsteel blue so I don't have much need for them but I'm curious what size strap those are made for, from the picture it looks to be about 1"?

I've thought about trying out the strap suspension setup but just haven't done so yet.

Yes I made them for 1" strap.

Thanks everyone. They are all gone but I will dig through the scrap aluminum this summer and see if I can find anymore 3/16".

I know that I have a lot of 1/4" but don't not sure on the 3/16".

Thanks again. If anyone wants, throw Adam a few extra bucks to put towards BWCA.com

Ok now I have a question, are these installed upside down or not? I have never used them but I have only seen them installed with the big part on top. Does it matter? Here is a link for what I found... Dutch Clips

Looking at the above pictures, I recall Dutch recommending the straps be positioned so that they come straight off the side of the tree, reducing pressure on the clip itself. I've used Kevin's and they are sweet.
