On those hot summer days it's easy to see the value of wearing an inflatable pfd. MUCH cooler, lighter and easier to wear across the portage with a canoe on your shoulders.
About ten years ago I bought a cheaper model so I could backpack it in to an area to use with my inflatable raft. I should have spent the money on a good one. Now, I was hoping to hear from those that wear inflatables (not the dolls), and get recommendations. I do not want an automatic model, and am looking largely at comfort, and staying cool.
Thanks.

A side story...
Once, while on a road trip, I spotted a dude in the country giving his inflatable doll a ride on the handlebars of his dirt bike.
They may have been going out for a picnic, or maybe his airbag deployed, but I didn't care. I hit the gas, and got out of there.
