Well I got my NX-250 on Thursday & now I have it all set up in the woods behind the house... supposed to be in mid to upper 30's tonight, windy & possible rain showers... should be a great test.
Just put some clothes, like I would typically have along on a hike or canoe trip into the pockets underneath & am using a +20 bag. Hope I sleep like a baby :)
Nice to know if I start to freeze, I can just walk up to the house & crawl into bed with the wife :)

I'm sure you are sound asleep right now! I spent two nights in my Wbbb under a buddies deck last weekend. My friends thought I was crazy and I'm sure his neighbors did too but I slept great. Let us know how it turns out for you.

Sorry for the slow reply, just now had time to log in.... Slept pretty good, I learned that I had a little too much sag on the hammock, with no pad or under quilt, I just stuffed some clothes I would normally have along on a trip in the under pockets. My upper body stayed warm, my legs from the knees down to my feet got a little cold. Woke up this morning no aches or pains.
Tonight I flattened the hammock a little more & will wear wool socks & use a little warmer bag... gotta get my lay right & make a ridge line, will be using it for 4 days next weekend in Nebraska.

Happy Easter....
I woke up in the hammock this morning to the sounds of loons, song birds, owls & turkeys gobbling... 29 deg. last night & I stayed warm & cozy all night, don't think I will spend much time sleeping in a tent again... Its awesome to sleep soundly & wake up with the woods, instead of back or hip pain.... money well spent!!!
Great morning, I have the kids easter baskets & eggs hidden already.

Congrats to a new hanger. Welcome to the club. As for your sag, I use an Adjustable Ridge Line on the hammock. It works like a whoopie sling. It helps dial in the sag when the tree width span can vary greatly from site to site. Enjoy.

So if the ridgline is to maintain the same sag each time, then why would it need to be adjustable... I was thinking of tying one in place where I hung last night... it felt pretty good!

An adjustable ridgeline is handy when you're looking for just the right amount of sag for a new hammock initially. But once you find your comfort zone, it is not necessary. However, for me, I like to vary the amount of sag depending on how I feel or what I want at the time. Also, addition of the Adjustable Structural Ridgeline allows you to consistently hang your hammock no matter the distance between your anchor points. Everyone has a different comfort zone and this works for me. All are good, just hang.

I put on my smart wool socks & switched to a -25 deg. bag, which is way too big for a BWCA trip. I am planning on making under quilt pad for the lower leg area, I wonder why Clark don't add a couple more pockets down there, that thought has crossed my mind too.
Already planning on upgrading the suspension system too, getting the knots just right is a pain, but I'm sure practice makes perfect.
