My wife just ordered the HammockGear Incubator (20 degree). I'm excited and can't wait for it to arrive. Does any one have one of these and a warbonnet black bird? I thought I read some where that the cords or suspension had to be some what modified the fit the black bird foot box. Anyone know? Thanks.

I have both. Zero problems. I think you will like that incubator. The new suspension system requires more initial fiddle time than the old side channels that you could slide the quilt up and down, but you can get it dialed in much better in cold weather.

I ordered a Green INC 20 +2oz overstuff about 3 weeks ago! Can't wait for it to arrive!!

Lymphocytosis, I saw your 0 degree incubator for sale on hammock forum and almost jumped on it but I figured for the type of hanging I do it would be just too warm for my needs. I'm looking forward to the 20 degree and think that should be fine for my three season use. Last season it got down into the mid twenties and I was just miserable on my pads. So the under quilt should be a great change.

Tony, I have a 20+3oz and a black bird. No problems with the foot box and suspension. Since the length of the incubator is so long it almost covers the foot box. I think with the 3/4 lengths the suspension might be more of an issue since the shock cord is a little more free to get under it. You should have little problems matching the two up.

I actually slept out in mine last Friday. 20*+3oz Burrow and matching incubator, wool socks shorts and a long sleeve poly shirt and I was toasty in 11*. Enjoy!

You may be ok even at 3/4 but with something short like a yeti that is exactly the issue. You need to make sure to get the cord over the footbox. You dont have to work to hard at it.

You won't have any issue with a full length uq.

Well guess I'm going to find out as I just ordered a 20 deg Incubator to go along with my Blackbird purchase.

I'm STOPPING with this purchase for this year! My down bag is going to make it for another year.

Going to do a little CAD/CAM work this afternoon and see what I can come up with for some hooks for the under quilt. Would be nice to have a water jet to cut them out with but don't have access to one, but I do have a wire EDM. Just will take a little longer.

What do you need the hooks for?

Received new desktop computer last week and the computer tech was giving me static about my home page (BWCA.com) with a wink in his eye.

Well it finally arrived today. Took it out of the box and stuff sack in the living room and it looks great. I Can't wait to try it out this week end. No instructions in the box so I will have to check their web site out. It looks pretty straight forward. I'm sure I will be able to figure it out.

I like the 20* but would need more. I feel the 0* would be overkill. I'd like something in the middle.

Yes you can order it with up to 3 oz. overfill at $8 per oz. I ordered my 20 deg Incubator on March 1st and waiting for shipping notice yet. According to Hammockforums they are in the process of moving into a new building and are running behind right now.

The waiting is the worst part! Adam and Jenny will do right by you though.

My Green INC 20+2os has arrived and I must say it is of the highest quality and workmanship.
I used it in my 60*F basement and was very warm. I had to take off my sleeping bag to cool down. Than I used it outside, but the temp never got below 62. I was sweaty after an hour or so. Man, I can't wait to use this thing in actual COOL weather.

Congrats! I have the same and its so puffy. Nice upgrade! Now the wait begins. I just talked to Jenny and was told my custom wide burrow is on the mail!

Tell me.......how does it perform in the 20's?

I received an email today that my 20 deg Incubator is just waiting for the down fill and will ship early next week. Next weekend?

I've got a group hang with some fine folks over at HammockForums in mid April, but I doubt I will have mine by then.

Lorax, I slept like a baby in sweat pants smartwools and a poly top with my incubator and 20+3 burrow. Outside temps were in the teens but i was in my un-insulated garage I used a pillow for insulation above my shoulders and forgot a hat. Had to burrow in the burrow in the early am but my backside was warm. It took some time to dial it in and it helps to have someone else lay in the hammock while you go around and make adjustments. I slept in my ENO DBl but have napped in my Blackbird with it as well. It should live up to your expectations.

That being said, I'm a big guy. I like my gear big. I talked with a guy named Paul who owns Underground Quilts and had him make me one of these.

That's the 20* incubator on top of the customs quilt. It should cover well!

That custom quilt looks amazing!

I would curl up in the fetal position and not come out of the hammock for nine months if I used that quilt.

Thanks for the test report of your garage hang experience. The only thing that wouldn't have been factored in would have been any breezes, but good to know it was solid at those temps.

I would imagine you have a nice tarp which would block most breezes. Also I believe that the incubator's outside shell is DWR which also helps cut down on breezes. You're golden.

It took about three weeks to receive my incubator. You might get it in time for your hang. Where is your hang going to be at?

Yeah. I wanted to edit it, but I posted the raw video since I could not get the moviemaker software to work[another microsoft piece of cr*p]. Then, I went on vacation in FLA, where a 20* UQ is not needed.
