My last trip I bought an ENO on a whim at Piragis (or was it Canadian waters?) right before setting out. It turned out great, but now everyone is wanting to hammock. I remember having a bit of a hard time finding a good spot for one hammock last time.

I forsee problems.

Maybe bunk hammocking would work? Hang one right off the ground then another right on top of it. Wouldn't be comfortable but would probably work in a pinch. I'd love to see a picture of it.

I had thought about that. I would have to figure out a way to get in and out of the top...

I have gone in groups of 3 and 5 the last two years and everyone hammocked with no problems. Never tried the bunk idea. Seems hard to get in the top.

The bunk works well if you have kids. My sister liked this a lot when I went with her (I'm twenty years older for the curious). I put her up there before bed. I could just reach up to touch her back if she was afraid at night, and let's face it, I had to get up when she wanted to go to the latrine anyway, so it wasn't a big labor to hop out, get her down and go with her. Plus I wasn't afraid she would smash me if something happened and she came down.

Biggest problem I have finding a hang spot is actually finding trees far enough apart with no obstructions (stumps, small trees, etc). Somebody inevitably hangs across a path somewhere, but so far I've never not been able to find a spot.

We had three hammocks one trip. We used the same center tree and three other trees for the other ends. That way we could talk to each other.

The wife and I play to do this on our May trip. Hopefully the trees will cooperate

no problem here, but then i solo. it's good to walk away from the general tent bwca area's, that's where i tend to find the best spots, as i have said, i like hanging close to the lake edge.

I'm the only one in our group that sleeps in a hammock, but others bring them for lounging around/naps. I tell them I get first dibs of the trees. In reality as they are setting up their tents I'm setting up my hammock. They get the seconds.

Never had to contend with another hammock. Usually it's just me or me and ground dwellers. So far the best hammock spot has never been the best tent spot.

"hope the trees cooperate" lol

My wife like sharing one tree for the head ends when we hammock also. It's easier finding three trees to work instead of four some times.
