I wear a pedometer daily because of the wellness program we have where I work. I routinely get between 11,000 and 17,000 steps a day. Rarely do I get less than 10,000. Today I got 22,600 steps which according to my stride is 11.4 miles. My number of steps aren't all walking, however. I wear it during my cardio workout which is a lot of jumping and squats, etc. Every step counts, though.
I haven't been doing much running over the last few months but that is because I have been doing the Insanity program. When I finish up with that in a couple weeks I'll go back to running and hopefully will get about 20 miles a week.

I envy you guys the ability to run! I can walk however, I can't run, knees won't let me. Knee replacement in one and no cartilage in the other. Therefore I cycle or use the eliptical.
Cycling I try to average 100-150 miles per week which equates to about 7-10 hours of riding. In summer when I have more time, I have ridden up to 300 miles in a week which really helps burn the calories and give you some endurance.

no running here either, doctors orders, but aerobic exercise or activity is what I'm supposed to be doing.
I walk a lot at work, many days averaging 7 miles. now add some 30-40 pound packs or canoe (in the summer) and that probably helps.
this morning I started shoveling at 7:30 and finished around 11:00. thankfully it's light snow, but it's 5-6 inches. lots of steps to shovel, paths...and then the dang snowplow goes by...grrrrrr...

I started last week, after a 1 year hibernation (put on 50lbs)... gotta start some time. Anyway, every morning before work, I have been doing 2 miles in about 20 minutes on our elliptical machine. Then doing some weight training in the evening. Down 7 lbs this week... of course I'm eating healthier also.
My goal is to loose those 50 lbs before my June 12th BW trip.
