I've got a map that a friend gave me from 1952. It's an old Bill Rom map that has all of the old no longer shown portages for the BWCA and Quetico.

The old portages in the BWCA are pretty widely known but the ones in Quetico are numerous and spot on. The map is printed on what looks to be wall paper material and is not waterproof to say the least. If anyone wants a copy of this old map let me know. It may take me some time to get it to you but it is worth having.

I would love a copy, if it's not too much trouble.

I will get about 10 copies made or more depending on price and distribute the map for those who want it. Might take a week or so.

I would love a copy too! Nothing better than old maps with vanished stuff on them.

Put me down too Adam. Let me know how much it is for printing and shipping also. You still interested in pushing for "that lake"?

So far, I count eight. If there's an extra, then please let me know. I may already have that one. It's of the same vintage, and two part (north of the 'Falls' to Thunder Bay) but doesn't show the BW area. I'd offer copies as well, but they are big (regular map size), so I'd have to search out someone who could do it.

I would truly be ecstatic and forever indebted to you if I could also get a copy of this in some form or another. I will gladly reimburse you for any and all costs.

Thank you!

Does anyone know if the Trigg First Survey Maps - out of Ely - are still available. I believe I heard Trigg died. Does anyone know for sure?

If there is another copy of the map to be had I'd be thrilled to get it and gladly reimburse any costs. Looking at "what was" and thinking about "where will I go" are two of my favorite things.
