Hey all,

I am planning to purchase a new dry pack for the trips to the bdubs. Right now I am looking at the Eureka Canoe Pak SS 115. Does anyone have experience with his particular pack or any other suggestions? I would like to get a rubber/waterproof pack like the Eureka and hopefully keep it under $100. Any information on reatailers with good prices on these types of items would be great as well. I know that the Red Rock Wilderness Store has the Eureka 115 selling at $89.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Justin,
Believe it or not, for the most unbeatable price and ability to stop water, I find your ordinary, white kitchen garbage bag with a twist tie does a decent job. Easy to pack extras in case of rips. You can pack tons of garbage out should you find it. The pack the bag goes in should be "comfortable" to carry, like say a Duluth pack. Just don't lose the twist ties. I see fewer of them then my other nemeses, cigarette butts. My .02

I've used seal line dry packs for the past two years, and i love them.
i have a guide series, and a pro series(highly recommended),and a grand portage #4. i use the #4 for tents and sleeping bags, and the pro pack for my personal pack, and the guide i use for kitchen stuff.

check out their web page-------seallinegear.com

I use this bag ($110 from Campmor), it has all the straps, hip belt etc. of a good backpack. I'ts comfortable to carry, and you'd have to run over it with a truck to hurt it. It holds all my personal gear for a week (I even put my Eureka! Timberline 4 in there when it's not wet). You can get a cheap 8900 cu. in. dry bag for $30 (sierratradingpost.com) but you will have this one for many trips.
