I have a question for those of you who paddle a lot in the BWCA. I am a big man, 6'5 and 275. I currently use an Old Town Discovery 169 to float our rivers and lakes in Arkansas, (No Portages) But as I get older I think I would like something a little lighter to bring to the BWCA. I would like a big stable boat, and will be looking at getting something like the Wenonah Champlain 18, or the Souris River Quetico 18.5. In the next few years I will be bringing a group from my church and I will be the primary supplier for the people who come with me, carrying most of the supplies, and possibly a third passenger. I will be looking for used probab
ly. If any of you have any comments, suggestions about either boat, their quality points, and when will be the best time to look for a good used one. Thanks to all of you...

Bruce

Arkansas Man, stop by when you are in Ely for your canoe trip. We have several different kinds of used canoes for sale and maybe you can drive home with one!
