Wow - you are good! Love the timing of music to images... Now - where was the rest of that moose? And what kind of video camera did you use? Where was the slanted rushing water eating away at the side of the rock - most bizarre thing I've ever seen.
WOW, what a trip.
WOW, what a trip.

Wow! - The video/audio is really great! I saw The Doors live in St. Louis at Keil Auditorium in November of 1968, and still have the ticket stub. They were awesome. Morrison had a case of Bud at his feet, and had the crowd by the kahunas. I've never seen anyone who could have 12,000 people in the palm of his hand like that. There was complete silence at one point, until Morrison started laughing, upon which the crowd started to nervously laugh. He had the leather pants on and a ruffled shirt, and looked every bit the "Lizard King". They had a 3-4 high wall of Acoustic speaker cabinets for the backline and the PA, with Altec Lansing 15" speakers and the goofy horns. I used to have the exact guitar that Robbie Krieger had too. Unfortunately, it was dropped and severely damaged, but not by me.
My first concert was Jefferson Airplane in the summer of 1967. I didn't have much money. Otherwise I would have gone to the Hendrix concert the week before or after the Doors concert. Tickets were $7.50. Unfortunately, I had to choose one or the other. So many GREAT concerts back then. I don't mean to steal the thread. Maybe a "best 60's - 70's concert thread" would be good somewhere on the website.
Who is playing The End by the Doors? I've never heard anyone cover their songs decently, but yours does. I was about 14 years old when I saw the Doors. The band I was in at that time covered several Doors songs. Thanks.
Way too much info, but it was a great time of my life.
Going into the BWCA on Wednesday, 9-7-2011 off the Gunflint for a 10 day solo. The weather looks great! 1 more day of work, and then I'm gone!!!!

You deserve an Emmy, Oscar, and ESPY. Good job!
Joy is a great teacher, but so is dispair. Wonder is a great teacher, but so is confusion. Hope is a great teacher, but so is disillusionment. And life is a great teacher, but so is death. To deny yourself any of those in any aspect is not experiencing life totally.

I really enjoyed the video - or at least the part I could watch. (Internet problems at my end are preventing me from viewing the last third or so - hoping they'll be fixed soon.)
And thanks for the nice gift! Taking the liquid part with us when we head out to Quetico next week. Sorry we weren't able to meet up with you guys in person but hopefully next time.

@BW Paddler: The Falls are Rebecca Falls. The slanted rock is the east channel and the west channel is shown after the east. Very beautiful island with two set of falls :-)
@Quark: It is The Doors. It is known as the Long Version and was recorded live... you old hippie :-)
@Ferris24: Now you know why I take so many pictures and paddle so little :-)
@HoHo: I'm sorry we missed you and enjoy the treats!
Thanks to all for the comments, the Quetico is the Star of this video.
A trip to Quetico always makes me feel like a better man and I hope this inspires people to take the Journey....

quote Hawbakers: "THANK YOU! for sharing! Loved it! Now I wanna go back to the Quetico again. Teared up when I saw your tribute to Amok. Great stuff!"
Mission Accomplished if I inspire one to say "I'm going back"
