I'm planning on being... nay, I will be in the BWCAW for the next few weeks (Starting Saturday). What's the word on Fire Bans/Restrictions right now? Is there any green showing or are you still waiting on spring like we are? (I'm in the U.P. of MI)

Thanks,
Hex

We are finally turning green, but are still way down on our water levels.

In the 'blowdown' areas, there is a fire restriction so you can only have fires from 7 pm to midnight only.

What is your entry and route?

We sould be safe then, the closest we come to the blowdown area will be Thomas, Hatchet, Ima... but a fire restriction isn't a big deal, I just don't want to be soaked and freezing without being able to make a fire at all.

P.S. Soaked and Freezing is still better than any day at work

Sorry, but anywhere north of Alice Lake is under the partial fire restriction! :(

Ima, Thomas, etc all fall north of Alice.

Bring a stove and then you can have a fire from just 7 pm to midnight.

Cold tonight, probably down in the 20's!

Brrrrrrr
