eglaths Sundial PMA paddleaways Sundial PMA

Here are a couple of links to trip reports about the Sundial PMA. Eglath's report apparently inspired paddleaways trip.

Has anyone found any other PMA trip reports? I know there are more but I haven't found them...yet...

This is the trip report I remember in the #1 PMA. I'm not sure about the other ones. I think we can look them up somehow by EP, though. Let' start adding them to a specific thread that gets no other replies, maybe.

We can use this one if you want...make it a PMA Trip Report Library. All replies must include at least one link to a report. Might be a fun winter challenge.

This trip report does Sundial PMA the opposite direction of eglaths.

I definitely recommend going from Stuart Lake to Sunday Lake not vice versa. The portage landings are easier to find going this way and you would have any current in your favor in Sterling Creek.

ty. i'm going to be studying these this winter once I get things caught up here. I've finally got my upstairs straightened out (except the dresser, lol) and i'm about to attack the garage ....) Insomnia has its advantages!

That was a GREAT report. Lots of insight for us PMA newbies. Things we will definetly have to consider include: hammocks, long sleeve shirts in the "razor grass", and a refresher in orienteering = I just hadn't considered enough how my normal ability to identify lake markers won't work while bushwhacking. I can see the GPS really helping here.

Thanks for setting up this forum, what a great idea. I've been avidly following every PMA post for a couple years now.

My trip report that was linked above was indeed inspired by eglath's trip. Our first bushwhack the year before our Sundial trip left us wanting more. I've just started looking into where we want to go this coming spring/summer, already looking forward to it!

Tougher challenge than I thought. Either very few of the few people who travel PMAs make trip reports or I am not smart enough to tell from the report title whether or not the trip contains a PMA.

snakecharmer has been to the Pitfall PMA and talks about it in his South Arm TR. I believe off Hanson, he went into Link, Gift, Fish and Nawakwa. There are old portages and campsite locations. Much of it was burned in the Cavity fire however. Found this on another site that describes some possible things to see there.
