Stumpy, I am going to meet you with qpassage up there in 2005. I did some practice runs in the BWCA last week as my son and I bushwacked through some tough portages in the PMA areas around numbered lakes. See you then.

Stumpy can answer it better, but it is an event where those brave and hearty enough to travel to a rarely visited lake in the middle of Quetico will meet, share stories and celebrate in the accomplishment of getting there.
It is a difficult trip that only seasoned wilderness travellers should embark on. It does not follow any established routes or portages after you get off the main routes and you need to find your own way (bushwack) through the woods to the lake. Stumpy has been talking about the 2005 edition for some time and the next one will not be for 5 years. He kept the chosen lake secret until now and those that can go now have the opportunity to get their entry permit and organize their trip.
I wish I could go (still trying to coordinate somethings) but it looks like I'll miss this years event. I'll be thinking about everyone who goes and may ask a couple who went (privately not on any board) how the trip was and how they got there. I will not ask about any stories shared or any stories created-like notes in a note cache those are sacred to the site and only to those who visited it.
