Hello,

I thought I'd let everyone know that my new guide book - A Paddlers Guide to Quetico and Beyond - has gone to press and will be out in March/April. I'd like to thank everyone for helping me out with the research (and my editor ended up going with rods/yards/meters for the measurement of each portage.

Welcome to the board 'River Rat". Stop by frequently and share your experience and guidance.

For those of you who do not know Kevin Callan he is a true canoeist who has seen alot of Canada from the seat of his canoe. He writes, makes films and does speaking engagements. He puts a little humor into everything he does becasue that's who he is.

He has become an anuual speaker at Canoecopia in Madison, Wisconsin and will be back in March of 2007. If you have never experienced one of his presentations you need to.

Welcome Kevin. Glad you have joined our little campfire. The portaging here will be a little easier than some of the ones I have seen you tackle.

Hello,

Looking forward to showing my new Quetico mini-film at Canoecopia and Mid-west shows this year. Andy and I paddled for the month of June and a few funny things happened along the way.

Probably not. They're telling me March/April for a release date, so I'm guessing April. Bad timing really, but I have little control over the publishing.
