I am pondering the idea of installing a BWCA like fire grate in my backyard. Anyone else done this or thought about it? Any ideas where to pick up a similar quality grate?

Thanks,
Adam

p.s. I hope my wife isn't reading this.

I was actually looking through the new Cabela's catalog yesterday and noticed a Grate much like the one's in the BWCA. The one Cabela's was selling is a little spendy but is considered a fire ring/grill. Check it out http://www.cabelas.com/

Adam,
Canoejack over at quietjourney.com did something very simular to this. Here's a link to pictures but I'm not sure where he got the grate. Maybe you can E-mail him.

Adam,
While I do not have a metal firegrate in my back yard, I do have a stone 5 ft fire ring where we build fires and relax... very nice! I think the wife wants me to get one of those fire rings in Cabela's that has the moose and bear on it. Around the fire pit I have stump chairs, a swing and a peeled pole cedar bench that can go there when we have extra company!
