If i were to set up camp somewhere in the bwca can i make daytrips into canada without having to get an extra permit?

Probably not. At least for Quetico you need a day use permit (in addition to a RABC). Across the border in the eastern section of the BWCA, the land is not part of Quetico. It may, however, be Crown Land. I don't know if you need a permit there or not. Certainly you still need a RABC.

An option... depending on the number of days you want to daytrip, is to purchase a Quetico Yearly Vehicle Pass... ( about $79.00) for multi-daytripping. and it is avaiable by mail, unlike the other daytrip passes. Along with the RABC.

What is the RABC and how much does it cost?

AN RABC is a Remote Area Border Crossing Permit and allows you to cross into Canada from the US when you can not go through a customs station.

Here is the link to the form. It costs $30 Canadian and lasts 2 years. If you have ever been convicted of a felony in the US you probably will not get one. DWI/DUI is considered a felony offense in Canada so make sure no one in your party has ever been convicted or you may have difficulties.
