That does look like a beautiful day for the mini trip. Carrying a conoe on a snowy path would get you a sobriety test anywhere else! :)

Great report! I too just got back from a 4 day trip yesterday with some snow except it was to the st. regis canoe area in the adirondacks. Definitely not as nice as the BWCA or quetico. I have a new found respect for those adventurous enough to go winter camping, it was Cooold at night!
