Nice report,I have been through there a couple of times in the last year, FYI you can and we do walk our canoe through the first 3 portages from Kawishwi up to Kawasakong, this saves about an hour of time and you are fresh when you get to the 189r going north out of Kwasakong(? spelling). The water is shallow, never over your knees.

The creek was all dried up at the portages so we couldn't float over down the creek this year, or last year. Nothing but rocks!!! Prior to last year, we floated the canoe down and saved a lot of time and effort! I guess I have to start going earlier in the year before the drought is in full swing!

In retrospect our trips have been in June when we hit those creeks, too bad for the shallow water. My wife and I are going in EP14 LIS late Sept, may reconsider if it looks there isnt much rain up there.
