I've never been to BWCA - but hear that the fishing can be good if you find the right place. We're planning to take 25 horse motor boats - my disability prevents us from paddling in - (I'm old and fat). What we'd like to do is take 16 foot Lund into Fall Lake - then on to Newton - then on to Pipestone. I'd heard that there are people you can hire to portage a 16 foot Lund, motor and 3 - 400 pounds of gear across into Pipestone bay - does anyone know how to reach these people so I can make sure they'll be there. You can imagine how disappointed I'll be if I have to haul all this by myself.
Any information is appreciated... thanks in advance.. sincerely
ed, your bet bet is to rent portage wheels i've done the same thing before and with the same amount of gear( easy as pie ) portage wheels are wonderful!!!
ive been back to fall, newton, and pipestone .
pipestone is big water I found most my fish in jackfish bay thers a good campsite right next to the gageing station
GOOD LUCK !!!
